Biografia

Silke Scheuermann was born in 1973 in Karlsruhe. She studied Literature and theatre in Frankfurt, Leipzig and Paris. Currently she lives in Offenbach. Her poetry and prose has been published in numerous anthologies and literary magazines. She gave her debut with the book of poems Der Tag an dem die Möwen zweistimmig sangen, followed by the novel Die Stunde zwischen Hund und Wolf which won the promotional prize of the Grimmelshausen Award. She writes the series “Lyrische momente” for the magazine “Volltext”. In 2006 she was a member of the jury for the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award.
