Eirik Ingebrigtsen, born in 1975, has studied at the writers' academy, Skrivekunstakademiet i Hordaland, and Literary Composition, Poetry and Prose at Gothenburg University. He also took Theatre and Media Studies at the University of Bergen. His first novel, Vesen, was published in 2001. This was followed by Snø dempar lyd, tre lukkar inne in 2003 and the critcally acclaimed novel, Vendrakovic, in 2006. He has held writing courses for school pupils of all ages and currently works at the Norwegian Writers' Centre. Furthermore he did a Nynorsk adaptation of the opera musical, Which Witch, which opened at Seim in Hordaland in August 2007.
