Biografia
Cynan Jones was born near Aberaeron, Wales in 1975, where he now lives and works.
His first novel The Long Dry (Parthian, 2006) won a Betty Trask Award from the Society of Authors, and saw him nominated as the Hay Festival Scritture Giovani in 2008.
The Long Dry has since been translated into Italian, Arabic and French, and a second novel, unpublished in English, was translated into Italian in 2011, "Le cose che non vogliamo piu".
His latest novel - Everything I Found on the Beach - was published by Parthian in June 2011. As the Western Mail put it, 'a novel that confirms Jones as a thrilling new presence in Welsh writing."
Cynan is near to completing a third novel, a set piece from which is published in Granta 119 (May 2012).
He has also been commissioned to write one of Seren's New Stories from the Mabinogion, due for publication in October 2012.
