Chiara Valerio Formia winter 1978, since when I’ve been reading everything including other people’s shopping receipts, with bewilderment and a head full of washing up powder. And ensuing bubbles. Which I love but not in water. I wander, it’s my speciality, digress, take off, look elsewhere and the like and in fact I’ve studied mathematics for the past ten years. One qualification more, one qualification less. Even in summer. A complicare le cose published by Robin in 2003 won the Carver prize. In 2006, my first novel Ognuno sta solo was chosen by iQuindici for INCIQUID [2/06, #9] and is being published in book form for the guys at Giulio Perrone. Fermati un minuto a salutare came out, also published by Robin, in February 2007 and I hope it doesn’t come back home too soon. I’m a contributor to Nuovi Argomenti. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll go back to writing.
