Biografia

Flavio Soriga was born in Uta, a village in the province of Cagliari (Sardinia) in 1975.  Over the past few years he has lived in Naples, Bologna and London. He lives in Rome now. He graduated in journalism and media technology.

One of his short stories was included in the anthology of Italian and American writers Il lato oscuro, published by Einaudi and curated by Roberto Santachiara. In 2004 he worked on the show and CD Meridiani Inquieti with Giovanni Peresson. He writes for the newspapers “La Nuova Sardegna”, “L’Unità” and the magazine “E” by Emergency. He was one of the founders of the literary festival of Gavoi, he is the artistic director of “Settembre dei poeti” festival of Seneghe and of the “Piccolo Festival della Leggerezza” of the Argentiera (all three festivals are located in Sardinia). In February 2007 he was awarded by the University of Vienna the sponsorship for young writers of the Abraham Woursell Foundation of New York. In 2010 he won the grant by the Halma European Commission network. He is invited as a guest, from time to time, to the TV show G-Day, hosted by Geppi Cucciari. He is one of the authors of Rai 3 TV programme Robinson, hosted by Luisella Costamagna (on Fridays, prime-time).

His books have been translated into German, Galitian, Roman and Croatian.
