Biografia

Ingeborg Arvola was born in Nordkapp county in 1974. She grew up in Tromsø, but has lived in Oslo in recent years. She is working on her MA in literature, is married to the illustrator Vidar Høyvang, and has a stepson who lives in Narvik.

 Ingeborg Arvola’s literary debut was with the novel Korellhuset, 1999, which has since then been translated into German.  In 2000 the author published the short story collection Livet i et skillepaddeskall og andre historier, as well as the children’s book Blod, snørr og tårer which is translated into Danish and Dutch. In 2003 she published the novel Straffe, and during 2004 the novel Forsiktig. Glass came out. She was awarded the Cappelen Prize in 2004. Her most recent publication was Monsterrytter (2006).
